But the moment he steps inside, his eyes light up with excitement. Today, the gelato showcase is finally open.
Rows of colorful gelato shine behind the glass, and for a second he can hardly believe it’s real. Maybe, in that moment, he feels like the luckiest kid in town… because the person making the best gelato in town is his dad. 🍦✨

Today, while putting away our Mother’s Day decorations, I felt something truly hard to describe…
All the excitement, the rush, the laughter, and the warmth of family from yesterday still seemed to linger in the café. The sun is shining, my heart feels light, and it feels like we are stepping into a beautiful new week with hope.
Yesterday, on Mother’s Day, we started the day together like a family — with excitement, a little stress, and full hearts. From 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., we worked nonstop, pouring our hearts into every part of the service.
To everyone who chose to spend this special day with us, who shared their stories, joy, and moments around our tables — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If we made any mistakes along the way, we sincerely apologize.
Being part of this community and sharing these special moments with you is truly an honor for us.

This week, we were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Marc, our neighbor and the owner of Trudel Home Hardware - Kanata.
As the Luna Cafe family, we always felt grateful to be his neighbor. Every “good morning,” every small moment, every sincere “hello” carried far more meaning than we often realize. Without even noticing, these small connections in daily life become some of the most valuable parts of who we are.
You, our dear customers, are also a very important part of this story. Every person who walks through our doors holds a special place in our hearts. Sometimes you’re surprised when we remember a small detail about your life—but in truth, those moments reflect the deeper connections we share. It is through these pure and genuine bonds that we find strength, especially on the days that are not easy.
Today is one of those days for the Trudel Home Hardware - Kanata family.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Marc’s family and to the Trudel Home Hardware - Kanata family. We want them to know they are not alone—we are thinking of them and holding them in our hearts during this difficult time. RIP 🤍
